Crossing Borders - Places, Sounds & Stories

The Bergell border connects Switzerland with Italy, northern and southern Europe. It's a gateway to the Alps, a hub for goods and ideas, and the starting and ending point of formerly perilous Alpine crossings. Over the centuries, all of this has transformed the rugged mountain valley into a surprisingly rich and diverse living and cultural space, well worth exploring! The musical and cultural-historical excursion "Border Crossings" leads to special places from Maloja down to Chiavenna. At each stop, guests can expect captivating stories as well as unique sounds and songs performed by the young voices of the vocal ensemble incantanti. Culinary specialties also offer a taste of the Bregaglia/Valchiavenna region and ensure everyone's well-being. "Border Crossings" is a day trip by bus and on foot. Sports shoes or light hiking boots are recommended. Lunch is included. Registration is required by 12:00 noon the day before. Space is limited.
