On a 4.6-kilometre circular route, 4.6 billion years of Earth history become tangible step by step. Walking, experiencing nature and scientific context combine to deepen the understanding of our ecological reality.

The walk illustrates how planet, life and climate have evolved and how short the presence of humans is in comparison. This wide timescale highlights how exceptional today’s human-made climate crisis is.

For people who do not want to gloss over the climate crisis, but understand it more deeply – with mindfulness, knowledge and an open view.

Framework

Duration around 3 hours, mostly flat circular route, group size from 2 to around 15 people. Guided by Raphi Bauer as time travel guide. Participation is intended to be accessible for everyone; the guide price can be reduced if necessary.

On Sunday, 20 September 2026, the walk takes place as part of the nationwide climate walks of the association Klimaschutz Schweiz.
