Looking for a rather quiet, spacious ice field in Upper Engadine? For general ice skating, there’s a 45 x 50 m natural ice rink, and specifically for hockey, a 45 x 25 m field with boards, right in Sils Maria. Perfectly maintained natural ice for sports and enjoyment.

Open, depending on weather conditions: As early as possible, usually early/mid December, until mid/late March. Daily from 9 a.m. until dusk. Closings due to weather conditions are possible. More information The ice rink at Muot Marias in Sils will be illuminated in the evenings until March 8, 2026. The lighting is on daily until 8:30 p.m.. On Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the lighting remains on until 10 p.m..

Public Children’s Area
In the heart of the traffic-calmed village, the Muot Marias ice rink and sports field offers a winter wonderland for children to enjoy.
The ski school's children's area, equipped with two magic carpets, is open to the public free of charge every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, January 3rd to March 8th, 2026. The designated practice area is for ski use only. No registration is required.
If guests need professional assistance, a ski instructor can be booked on-site.
The Snowlino children's daycare, run by the Swiss Ski School in Sils, offers beginner skiing lessons for children (1.5 hours, ages 3-4) from Monday to Friday, and during peak season also on weekends from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
The Swiss Ski School Corvatsch-Pontresina is not liable for accidents.
