Snowshoe hiking
All of the routes have been certified by the Swiss Snowshoe Association. They are consistently marked, signaled, avalanche-safe and environmentally friendly. These are the first and only SVS snowshoe routes in the Engadin. You always use them at your own risk. For the sake of the wild animals, we ask you not to leave the official routes.

Corvatsch Lake Trail (SchweizMobil Route 565)
Stomping high over the Engadin lake landscape through the untouched mountain world with snowshoes: You only experience this at Corvatsch. The view of the frozen lakes and the pinnacles of the Corvatsch massif is impressive. About halfway, the Ustaria Rabgiusa offers an optimal catering option.

Snowshoe trail Muotta da Güvè (SwitzerlandMobility Route 561)
The ascent leads from Lake Sils through an intact mountain forest and over clearings up to 2036 meters. Along the way, the views of Lake Sils, the majestic mountain world, the wild Val Fedoz, Val Fex, and the wintery Upper Engadine are fascinating. The return route goes through the forest to the boathouse at Sils Maria.

Snowshoe Highlights
Suot Ovas
The easy, approximately 4-kilometre Suot Ovas route is flat and ideal for families and beginners. The route leads across snow-covered pastures and sparse larch forests via Traunter Ovas to Lake Silvaplana and back to Sils Maria via Crotschas. Halfway along the route, you can fortify yourself with a warm drink or a tasty pizza at the Beach Club.
Muotta da Güvè
To get back to Sils on the moderately difficult route through the snow-covered mountain forest over the 2036 metre high Muotta da Güvè, you cover a distance of around 5.5 kilometres. You will be rewarded with a fascinating view and an impressive experience of nature. This route is suitable for snowshoe enthusiasts with a medium to good level of fitness.
Lake Trail
The Lake Trail has been developed into a circular snowshoe hike. It starts at the Furtschellas middle station and, after a steep ascent on flat terrain, leads to Ustaria Rabgiusa, where the large sun terrace invites you to relax. After a well-deserved refreshment, you climb a short ascent before descending back to the Furtschellas middle station. The views of the frozen lakes and the icy peaks of the Corvatsch massif are very impressive.
