With its exhibition program, the Galerie von Opel aims to provide artists, collectors, and visitors with a platform that facilitates an intensive engagement with art across geographical and genre boundaries. The Galerie von Opel welcomes collaborations with artists, curators, and institutions who share an interest in thoughtful presentation and long-term commitment. Its location in St. Moritz, a town with a unique cultural history and international audience, provides an ideal setting for the encounter between local tradition and contemporary vision.
Spanning 360 square meters and two floors, the gallery presents exhibitions by emerging and established artists from Switzerland and abroad, and is committed to showing works that reflect the diversity and depth of contemporary practice.
Current Exhibition:
The Galerie Andrea Caratsch, together with the Galerie von Opel, will present Allegro, an exhibition by Rolf Sachs.
Opening on December 20 at Galerie von Opel, the show features a selection of new works created following his presentation at the Kunsthalle Schweinfurt.
On view are paintings and drawings from the Défroissage and Touchée series, complemented by sculptural objects and furniture pieces. In his work, Sachs combines spontaneous, gestural painting and richly textured surfaces with clear geometric forms.
The exhibition reflects his multidisciplinary, humorous, and deeply human approach, which explores psyche, character, and chance. His works have been shown internationally in renowned museums.
