The Belvedere Tower

The landmark of Maloja has an eventful history. It remained as a remnant of the residence of Count de Renesse. The rest fell victim to a fire. Today, the tower houses the Pro Natura exhibition on the history of Maloja's landscape: historical and current photos from the same perspective show the changes in the landscape around Maloja and in the region. The location of the ruins is unique - the view down into the steep Bergell valley alone is worth a visit.
