Fire pit Crap Alv Silvaplana
«Crap Alv» means «white stone», because light-colored rocks can be found here.
The first spring catchment for the village well in Surlej was built here in 1908. Twenty-one years later, the "Crap Alv" reservoir was constructed with a capacity of 150 m³. Today, Surlej's water reservoir has a total capacity of 500 m³, of which 400 m³ is drinking water and 100 m³ is fire-fighting water.
