Wassersport Sils
Lake Sils – the largest of the Upper Engadin lakes – and Lake Silvaplana are an insider tip for water sports enthusiasts. That is precisely why they offer unique experiences, whether sailing, canoeing, sailing, fishing, diving, SUPing, windsurfing or kitesurfing.

Sailing, windsurfing & kiting

Their size and reliable wind conditions make Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana an extremely attractive sailing area. The abundance of sunny days and the topographical location of the Engadin create the Maloja wind, which reliably blows from the Bregaglia valley up into the Engadin. On bad days, when this wind fails, a pleasant, powerful northerly wind develops. These two Upper Engadin lakes offer a unique sailing experience for all levels. Sailing courses of all kinds and sailboat rentals are also available. Windsurfing and kitesurfing in the Engadin are all about the daily Maloja wind, which reliably ensures the best surfing conditions. The surfing mecca is located not far from Sils in Silvaplana on Lake Silvaplana. There is also a surf center with a launching point in Sils near the Beach Club on the west side of Lake Silvaplana. The kitesurfing scene converges in Silvaplana on Lake Silvaplana.
