You wouldn't be the first guest to rave about Sils. Since Friedrich Nietzsche, the philosopher and poet, declared Sils to be the "loveliest corner of the earth", writers, musicians and painters have come to the village as guests: from Thomas Mann to David Bowie, from Albert Einstein to Charlie Chaplin.
