Entering the black ice on the Upper Engadine lakes is at your own risk!

ATTENTION: Please note that Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana are not evenly frozen over - the thickness of the ice can vary from time to time!

The municipalities monitor the bearing capacity of the ice pack only in the immediate area of marked and prepared cross-country ski trails and hiking paths as well as infrastructure on the frozen lakes. Access to the lakes is always at one's own risk.
