While expert and advanced surfers set their sails in Silvaplana, families and beginners find perfect conditions in Sils. But all are familiar with the phenomenon of the Maloja wind, which invariably blows up shortly after midday. Until then, however, Lake Silvaplana lies calm and serene, silently reflecting its picturesque surroundings in its mirror-like surface. During this time, there is hardly anything more delightful than gliding across the water on a stand-up paddle board and marvelling at the stunning nature all around.
